Isabelle Smoot, MSN, FNP-C, earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing in Richmond. She then went on to earn a Master of Science in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. Following her graduate studies, Isabelle gained extensive experience working alongside other midwives and obstetricians as a Registered Nurse.

During her nurse externship with Mary Immaculate Hospital, she fell in love with working alongside new mothers and supporting families through this exciting chapter in life. She also gained a new respect and admiration for the great work of midwives. Through this experience and other mentors, she decided to become a nurse practitioner specializing in women’s health.

Isabelle is dedicated to supporting women across their lifespan, not just through pregnancy and delivery. As a family nurse practitioner, she is devoted to developing strong relationships with her patients, taking into consideration their personal preferences and individual health goals. She takes time to listen and carefully consider the best options available for each patient. Isabelle strives to support women in her local community by making their healthcare a priority. Growing up in the Tidewater area, she appreciates the impact that local healthcare providers made in her life and feels drawn to make the same impact on others.

She provides a broad range of women’s healthcare services, including well-woman exams, pap smears, routine gynecological exams, family planning, contraceptive counseling, and pregnancy and postpartum care.

In her free time, Isabelle finds joy in spending quality time with her husband and their three dogs. She is a native to Hampton Roads and enjoys all the area has to offer, especially living near the water and exploring local restaurants.
