She strives to ensure patients feel genuinely heard and seen, understanding that patients who become active participants in their care can make more informed health decisions and achieve better health outcomes. Maria aims to provide individualized, evidence-based care that honors each patient’s unique values, preferences, and experiences. Maria sees patients from adolescence to post menopause for pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care. She also offers contraception counseling, family planning, and sexual health education, prevention, and treatment. Maria has a particular interest in group prenatal care and the positive outcomes it provides for women and families. She is a passionate advocate for the model’s push for education and connection among expecting parents, allowing them to receive comprehensive clinical care while also building supportive relationships and learning from one another. Her approach improves maternal satisfaction, increases knowledge and confidence, and often leads to better birth outcomes. Through her work, she continues to explore new ways to improve healthcare access, equity, and overall quality of maternal care. When she isn’t seeing patients, Maria enjoys reading, spending time with her family, exploring photography, and traveling. Bilingual in both English and Spanish, Maria can connect further with members of her community. Maria warmly welcomes patients to make an appointment to see her at TPMG Obstetrics & Gynecology.
