After completing her undergraduate degree, Jessica worked as a Registered Nurse (RN) at VCU Medical Center (MCV) while earning a master’s degree in nursing with a specialization in women’s health. Continuing her studies, she completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice program from Old Dominion University (ODU) in Norfolk. Jessica is a board certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with a passion for women’s health. Fascinated by the complex systems of the human body, and coupled with an innate nature to help others, Jessica was drawn to the field of medicine at a young age. She has since dedicated her career to educating women about their gynecological concerns; seeking to normalize discussion of questions and topics women are often apprehensive to address. Jessica provides reproductive education on fertility, nutrition, exercise, contraceptive options, pregnancy health, and breastfeeding. As a women’s health nurse practitioner, Jessica provides compassionate care for a broad range of women’s healthcare services including well-woman care, prenatal management, pap smears, and family planning. Within the field of obstetrics and gynecology, her special interests include contraception management, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and sexual dysfunction in women. Jessica is devoted to establishing trusted relationships with her patients and providing continuous hands-on support and counseling throughout the duration of their care. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners (VCNP), and American Telemedicine Association (ATA). She has also served as adjunct faculty for VCU and ODU in the nursing and nurse practitioner programs. In her leisure time, Jessica enjoys boating, camping, and spending time with her family and two dogs. A native to the Hampton Roads community, she feels fortunate to work in the community where she was raised.
