Identifying migraine triggers can help chronic migrainers reduce the number of migraines they experience and improve their quality of life or get back to the things they love.
Neurology
Neurology is a branch of medicine focused on the study and treatment of disorders of the brain and nervous system. Neurologist is a medical doctor with specialized training, diagnosing, treating, and managing disorders that affect the brain, spinal cord, and nerves. Patients may see a neurologist for a range of conditions, including headaches (migraines, tension, cluster), neuropathies, Multiple Sclerosis, stroke, seizures and epilepsy, tremors, neurodegenerative diseases (Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s Disease, or Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), and other memory disorders.
At TPMG, our neurologists perform in-office services and testing including electroencephalogram (EEG), Electromyography (EMG), Nerve Conduction Study (NCS), acupuncture, and Botox for chronic migraines. Neurologists do not perform surgery. If a patient requires surgery, they are referred to a neurosurgeon.
