Jennifer Ware, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician with TPMG Hidenwood Family Medicine in Newport News. She earned her Bachelor of Science from The College of William & Mary in Williamsburg. Furthering her education, she earned her Doctor of Medicine from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond and completed her Family Medicine Residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk. Dr. Ware joined TPMG Hidenwood Family Medicine in 2025. Dr. Ware demonstrates her medical expertise by building meaningful connections with members of the Hampton Roads community. She is committed to challenging herself daily and getting to know her patients. She strives to uncover the root cause of her patient’s concerns and find solutions that align with her patient’s goals. As a former Division I collegiate gymnast, Dr. Ware leverages her experience as an athlete as well as her medical training to promote healthy lifestyles. Through fitness and dietary recommendations, she equips patients with the tools they need to improve and even prevent chronic disease. Dr. Ware sees patients 6 years and older for all primary care needs, including acute care visits and chronic disease management. She treats a variety of conditions, including hypertension, diabetes, congestive heart failure, arthritis, chronic kidney disease, depression/anxiety, high cholesterol, atrial fibrillation, obesity, and migraines. A proponent of education, Dr. Ware also enjoys teaching and sharing her passion for medicine with future doctors. She is an assistant professor at Virginia Commonwealth University and Eastern Virginia Medical School. A member of multiple professional organizations, Jennifer belongs to the American Medical Association (AMA) and the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). When she isn’t in the office, Dr. Ware enjoys running outdoors, paddle boarding, biking, fishing, and more. Hampton Roads has always been home for Dr. Ware. From growing up in Virginia Beach to attending college in Williamsburg as an undergraduate, Dr. Ware has always valued being a community member. Through her work, she has the opportunity to give back to those in her community and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who live and work in Hampton Roads.
