Kathy Green, MSN, FNP-BC, earned a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Longwood College in Farmville, Virginia. She earned an Associate of Applied Science as a Registered Nurse from J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College in Richmond, as well as a Master of Science in Nursing from George Mason University. She returned to school in 2016, earning a Post-Master’s Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner from St. Joseph’s College in Standish, Maine.

Before joining TPMG Neurology in Williamsburg, Kathy gained experience in a variety of roles as a registered nurse working in inpatient nursing care and administrative positions. She has also practiced as a Family Nurse Practitioner at a family practice and urgent care clinic treating a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses.

Kathy’s experiences throughout her career and education have strengthened her belief in providing professional and personable individualized care. Her approach to care and treatment focuses on disease prevention, patient empowerment, and lifelong learning. As a supporter of holistic health care, Kathy enjoys researching the effect of diet and exercise on emotional and physical well-being. She also enjoys providing care for patients battling various neurological conditions, such as Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, vertigo, migraines and other type of headaches, neck pain, neuropathy, strokes, multiple sclerosis (MS), and tremors.

She provides several in-office procedures and testing, including Trigeminal nerve block used as a therapeutic pain block to relieve facial pain, occipital nerve block used as a treatment for chronic migraines, and cervical dystonia, hemifacial spasm, blepharospasm, limb dystonia, spasticity.

Kathy is an active member of both the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing, and American Academy of Neurology. Outside of the office, she enjoys being physically active, reading, and spending time with her family.

Kathy joined TPMG Neurology in Williamsburg, the practice of board certified neurologist, Patricia Mayes, MD, in 2018.
