She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Old Dominion University in Norfolk and completed a Master of Science in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. With a passion for her community and a desire to make a difference in the lives of others, Meghan decided to pursue a career in medicine. Prior to joining TPMG, Meghan worked as a Registered Nurse (RN), gaining extensive experience in a variety of fields including cardiology, oncology, the intensive care unit, and medical/surgery unit. As a family nurse practitioner, she provides comprehensive primary care services for adults and geriatrics, including disease management across the lifespan, chronic and acute illnesses, and health promotion. Meghan firmly believes the provider/patient relationship plays a pivotal role in shaping modern healthcare and encourages her patients to take an active role in their personal health. Through an individualized approach to care, Meghan incorporates her patient’s values, opinions, and beliefs into their treatment plans, so they feel comfortable and confident with their decisions. Meghan is an active member of both the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners (VCNP) and the American Nurse Association (ANA). While earning her Nurse Practitioner degree, she served as a preceptor for newly graduated nursing students. Meghan also devotes her time to serving as a medical volunteer with Hand of Hope and is actively involved in philanthropic outreach for underserved populations in Africa, Nepal, and India. In her free time, Meghan enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, going to the beach, and traveling. She welcomes new patients to schedule an appointment.
