Meaghan Devens, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with TPMG Harbour Breeze Family Practice in Suffolk. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Sentara College of Health Sciences, Meaghan began working as a registered nurse in a Level II Trauma Emergency Department. Furthering her education, she earned her Master of Science – Family Nurse Practitioner from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. Meaghan also belongs to the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She joined TPMG Harbour Breeze Family Practice in 2024.

With a diverse range of clinical experience in various settings, Meaghan is well-equipped to meet the needs of her patients. From an early age, Meaghan has had a fervent desire to work in the medical field, driven by her genuine passion for helping others.

As a provider, Meaghan emphasizes patient-centered care, ensuring that her services align with the unique needs, preferences, and values of each patient. Through effective communication, she builds strong relationships with patients using clear, empathetic, and open communication to understand their concerns better and improve patient adherence to treatment plans. Meaghan takes a holistic approach to patient care, considering the physical, emotional, and social aspects of health to treat the whole person rather than just addressing a set of isolated symptoms. She strives to be an advocate for her patients, standing up for patients’ needs and ensuring they receive proper resources and support.

Meaghan treats adolescents and adults for a variety of chronic and acute conditions, including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, physical exams, well woman visits, reproductive health, anxiety, depression, and headaches, among others. She has a special medical interest in women’s health.

When she isn’t in the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and six children. Her hobbies include reading and venturing outdoors. A native of Hampton Roads, Meaghan loves the area’s sense of community and vast array of outdoor activities including the beach, water parks, hikes, and amusement parks.
