Her naval career led her to Naval Medical Center Portsmouth as a General Urologist where she was able to co-locate with her husband, a Naval Aviator. There she received the Chairman’s Award for Excellence in Teaching in the Medical Student Surgery Clerkship. In 2025, Dr. Fischer joined TPMG Urology – Newport News.

As a provider, Dr. Fischer is deeply committed to education, extending her efforts beyond medical students and residents to include patients and their families. She strives to educate her patients about their conditions and motivates them to take an active role in their health journey.

As a General Urologist, Dr. Fischer treats all urologic conditions, including kidney stone disease, erectile dysfunction, cancer of the prostate, bladder, kidney, and testes, infertility, benign prostate hypertrophy, and incontinence, among others. A member of multiple professional institutions, she belongs to the American Urological Association (AUA), the Society of Women in Urology, and the Society of Government Service Urologists.

When Dr. Fischer and her family decided to settle in the Tidewater area, she transitioned from 15 years of active duty to joining the Navy Reserves. When she isn’t in the office, Dr. Fischer enjoys spending quality time with her children, reading novels, and immersing herself in nature.
