Physician Assistant in Newport News, VA

Selena A. Judge, PA-C, MLS (ASCP)

Selena A. Judge, PA-C, MLS (ASCP), is a board-certified Physician Assistant with TPMG City Center Family Medicine in Newport News. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, and a Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies, with a focus on surgical and acute care from Lincoln Memorial University in Knoxville, Tennessee. A member of multiple professional organizations, Selena belongs to the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA), the Virginia Association of Minority Physician Assistants (VAMPA), and joined TPMG City Center Family Medicine in 2026.

As a child, Selena was first introduced to the medical field when her grandfather and father were diagnosed with end-stage renal failure and placed on hemodialysis. Helping care for her loved ones gave her an early understanding of how compassionate and knowledgeable healthcare providers can positively shape patient experience. Selena also recognized a lack of representation for clinicians who looked like her in the medical field. By pursuing her own career in medicine, she aims to help eliminate healthcare disparities and serve as a positive example for others in her community who wish to pursue similar paths in medicine.

As a provider, Selena builds strong, long-term relationships with her patients through continuity of care. She believes that fostering an environment where patients feel heard, supported, and comfortable encourages better health outcomes. A strong proponent of preventative healthcare, she advocates for patients and helps them manage chronic conditions early and effectively to slow disease progression and improve overall quality of life. Working collaboratively with patients, Selena crafts realistic, sustainable care plans that support long-term health and well-being.

Selena sees patients across their lifespan for a variety of acute and chronic conditions, including upper respiratory infections, diabetes, asthma, COPD, weight management, PCOS, depression and anxiety, and high cholesterol, among others. She has a particular medical interest in chronic kidney disease, hypertension, and hematology oncology.

Returning home to begin her career in family medicine is a full-circle moment for Selena. Born and raised in Newport News, she finds deep meaning in caring for the same community that helped shape who she is today. Selena’s background in laboratory medicine, combined with her training as a physician assistant, has strengthened her passion for patient education, preventative care, and helping patients feel informed and empowered in their health journey. She is committed to continuing to grow as a provider while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care to the Hampton Roads community.
