Mark W. Newman, DO, earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio. He completed his residency in Anesthesiology at Youngstown Osteopathic Hospital Ohio University in Youngstown, Ohio.

Dr. Newman is a board-certified anesthesiologist and pain management physician.   In 1997, he discontinued the practice of anesthesia to focus solely on pain management.  His practice was the first full-time interventional pain management practice in the Tidewater area of Virginia.  In 2010, Dr. Newman joined TPMG, forming TPMG Pain Management.

In 2012, Dr. Newman began performing outpatient ketamine infusions for patients with CRPS who had not responded well to conventional treatments.  The results have been nothing short of amazing, and Dr. Newman expanded his practice with the creation of Virginia Ketamine Therapy.  This practice is focused on pursuing treatment for CRPS, fibromyalgia, Lyme disease, depression and other diseases that may benefit from ketamine infusions.
