Amy, a Certified Physician Assistant, has been practicing in the Newport News area since 2000 and has been with TPMG Newport News Internal Medicine since 2005. A member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Amy values leadership, service, teamwork, accountability, transparency, and providing excellent care. She treats pain, as well as a variety of acute and chronic illnesses including diabetes, hypertension, and metabolic syndrome. She also performs annual physicals for women. Amy chose the internal medicine path because it allows her the chance to treat a variety of illnesses. She enjoys addressing the different medical concerns and working with patients to design a plan that will cater to their health goals. Her medical interests include diabetes and women’s health. To further her medical experience and interests, Amy has attended several conference and courses to remain up-to-date in her field. Amy and her husband moved to the Tidewater area twenty years ago and have since grown to enjoy the warmer climate. Outside of the office, Amy enjoys spending time with her family visiting the beach, fishing on the Chesapeake Bay, and attending her children’s sporting events.
