Initially established in 1992, Tidewater Physicians Multispecialty Group (TPMG) celebrates 30 years in operations this Friday, July 22, 2022! What began as a small medical group of only four offices and 17 primary care physicians is now a thriving multispecialty group comprised of over 85 locations, 250 providers, and 1,100 employees across Southeastern Virginia.
Through the hard work and perseverance of our clinicians and staff, we have led the way in ground-breaking clinical research, advanced robot-assisted surgeries, improved telehealth services, and affordable diagnostic imaging. Today marks not only a company anniversary but a family anniversary where we reflect on the achievements and success, which has led us to where we stand today. And to our patients, we are so grateful for your continued support and for entrusting us with your care. Thank you for inspiring us to continue to raise the standard of care. Giving the best care possible is what motivates us to continuously improve our level of patient care.
We recognize TPMG Day on July 22nd and kick off the celebration with our annual TPMG Spirit Week starting on Monday, July 18th. If you happen to be visiting one of our locations this week, look for team spirit, fun themes, and even creative costumes. We thank you for being a valued TPMG patient!

Monday – Hero Day
We all have heroes that inspire us! On Monday, we’re dressing up as our heroes (healthcare hero, superhero, historical hero – be creative)!
Tuesday – Jersey Day
On Tuesday, we’re representing our favorite sports and teams. From your favorite football team to your best golf shirt, show your team spirit on Jersey Day!
Wednesday – Tropical Day
On Wednesday we are channeling relaxation and fun with tropical day. From bright flowers to patterned shirts, wear your best outfit for paradise!
Thursday – Patriotic/Culture Day
We’re celebrating the rich diversity of our employees and patients today. Wear clothing from your culture or your favorite red, white, and blue threads!
Friday – TPMG Day!
Friday is the anniversary of TPMG’s founding. Our employees will be rocking their TPMG day t-shirts to celebrate!
