Dr. Lipscomb enjoys getting to meet new people and learning their stories. Combining his love of people with a love of science, especially the body’s innate ability to heal itself over time, a career in medicine was a perfect choice. As a physician, Dr. Lipscomb can blend these passions to better serve his patients.

Prioritizing the patient-provider relationship, Dr. Lipscomb believes that getting to know his patients is fundamental for the practice of family medicine. He understands that primary care providers are an important part of their patients’ lives, requiring knowledge of each patient’s unique background and values. Dr. Lipscomb also accommodates home visits when necessary.

Dr. Lipscomb focuses on improving and maintaining functionality and the quality of life for his patients. He encourages healthy dietary choices, improving mobility, and maintaining adequate physical activity to promote an overall healthier lifestyle. Dr. Lipscomb sees patients two years and up for a variety of acute and chronic conditions, including type 2 diabetes, hypertension, weight loss, mobility concerns, and more. He also offers a spectrum of services, including geriatric care, advanced care planning, development of care goals, and obesity and weight counseling, where he can identify areas that require improvement or factors that might prevent weight loss.

When he isn’t in the office, Dr. Lipscomb can be found outdoors. He loves playing golf. Growing up in Virginia, Dr. Lipscomb has also always enjoyed fishing, kayaking, and backpacking. At home, he likes to spend time in the garden with his wife and two dogs.
