Following her undergraduate studies, she earned a Master of Science in Education from Old Dominion University (ODU) and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) in Norfolk. Tammy is board certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants with nearly 20 years of experience practicing in the Virginia Beach area. Prior to joining TPMG, Tammy began developing her skills in the field of Sports Medicine working as a student athletic trainer while studying at Virginia Tech. Upon graduation, she gained extensive experience as a physician assistant in both Orthopedics and Occupational Medicine. She has a special interest in evaluating and treating a wide range of musculoskeletal issues, particularly of the shoulder and lower extremities. With decades of experience, she treats a variety of conditions including acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. She provides a broad spectrum of in-office procedures that include trigger point injections, ultrasound-guided intra-articular injections, and osteopathic manipulations. As a physician assistant, Tammy enjoys developing long-term relationships with her patients and the ability to positively impact their health. With this in mind, she places great value on individualized care, taking the time to educate patients on their condition in order to treat current injuries and prevent the occurrence of future injuries.
