100 Constitution Drive Monday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Samuel Meyers, PA-C is a board-certified physician assistant with TPMG Cardiovascular Specialists in Virginia Beach. He earned his Associate of Science in Social Sciences from Tidewater Community College and his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Old Dominion University. Furthering his education, he earned a Master of Science in Sports Science in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania. Afterward, he completed his Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant from the Yale School of Medicine Physician Assistant Online Program at Yale University. He belongs to the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA). Samuel joined TPMG Cardiovascular Specialists in 2023. Samuel’s love for medicine was initially fueled by his mother who would often bring home stories of cases she encountered at her neurology clinic as a registered nurse. He was fascinated by how she made assessments and how she managed to care for each patient. Later, he served in the military as a helicopter search and rescue hospital corpsman, where he flew many medical evacuations and assisted in relief efforts for disasters like Hurricane Harvey. During his service, he discovered a passion for making a difference in the lives of others, which led him to pursue a medical education as a physician assistant. Far too often, patients feel in the dark about their own health care. Samuel strives to bring his patients back into the light, ensuring they have a full understanding and feel comfortable with the knowledge, treatment course, progression, and future of their disease or conditions. He educates his patients to promote healthy lifestyles to prevent disease and improve quality of life. With an emphasis on continuity of care and strong patient-provider relationships, Samuel works along with his patient’s other medical providers toward the shared goal of better health. He strives for his patients to feel they’re receiving the best quality of care as he works to support them on their health journey. Samuel sees adults aged 18 and over for a variety of conditions, including hypertension, arrhythmias, heart failure, dyslipidemia, structural heart conditions, heart valve conditions, and more. He is a proponent of lifestyle modification when treating or managing a patient’s cardiovascular disease. He takes a holistic approach to health care, understanding that many other disease processes (diabetes, dental care, mental health, etc.) can also affect their cardiovascular health. Born and raised in Temperance, Michigan, Samuel moved to the Hampton Roads area while serving in the military. Upon separating from the military, he decided to put down roots in the area. He appreciates the Hampton Roads area for its melting pot of people who come from across the United States with different experiences, stories, and backgrounds. He enjoys interacting with his patients, hearing their stories, and learning what makes them unique. When he isn’t in the office, Samuel enjoys camping with his spouse, spending time with his two dogs, Billy and Riley, and socializing with friends. He has a passion for horticulture, traveling, and food/cooking. Samuel warmly welcomes patients to make an appointment to see him at TPMG Cardiovascular Specialists.
