860 Omni Boulevard 4844 George Washington Memorial Highway Monday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Pamela Kennedy, MSN, FNP-C, earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. Following her undergraduate education, she received her Master of Science in Nursing from Old Dominion University in Norfolk. Pamela is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She joins TPMG Newport News Internal Medicine. Pamela’s decision to join the medical field was strongly influenced by her grandmother. Early on, her grandmother instilled in her the importance of taking care of others. Pamela provides a holistic approach to medicine, treating the entire person rather than providing quick relief of current symptoms. As she develops creative solutions to complex health problems, she maintains a compassionate and energetic spirit. With over 30 years in the medical field, Pamela has acquired a diverse background in oncology, ENT, palliative care, and pain management. She began as a medical assistant and advanced to numerous roles – pharmacy technician, registered nurse (RN), and certified family nurse practitioner. At TPMG Newport News Internal Medicine, Pamela treats patients ages 18 and up for pain and acute and chronic conditions – diabetes, hypertension, and arthritis. Apart from treatment, she educates her patients to ensure they understand their diagnosis and plan of care. Outside of the office, Pamela has been active in the community, participating in various community service events. She has also held several professional memberships and awards. Pamela was formerly a member of the International Organization of Multiple Sclerosis Nurses (IOMSN), a facilitator for multiple sclerosis (MS) support groups, and a recipient of the Linda Morgante Nursing Leadership Scholarship Award. In her spare time, Pamela loves spending quality time with her grandchildren. She also finds joy in crafting, gardening, and doing yard work.
