Nicole “Nikki” Marshall, DNP, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC is board-certified by the American Nurse Credentialing Center as a family nurse practitioner with TPMG Peninsula Internal and Geriatric Medicine in Newport News. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Old Dominion University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Furthering her education, she received her Master of Science Family Nurse Practitioner and her Doctor of Nursing Practice- Family Nurse Practitioner from George Washington University in Washington, DC. Nicole joined TPMG Peninsula Internal and Geriatric Medicine in 2023.

Before joining TPMG, Nikki gained experience working in a critical care ICU and in hematology-oncology, where she cared for patients undergoing cancer treatment. Nikki adopts an individualized approach to healthcare practice, considering each patient’s unique circumstances, abilities, conditions, and goals when creating a care plan. She values the importance of open dialogue between patients and providers, actively listening to patients, and offering comprehensive education tailored to their unique needs.

As a family nurse practitioner, Nikki provides a range of primary care services for adults and geriatrics. This includes disease management across the lifespan, chronic and acute illnesses, and health promotion. With a particular emphasis on prevention, diagnosis, and treatment, she cares for older adults who may have complex medical conditions, such as Alzheimer’s and dementia, among other age-related conditions. Nikki has a special medical interest in treating patients holistically, considering their whole being when determining the most appropriate treatment strategy.

As a native of Hampton Roads, Nikki lives and works in the area along with her husband, a retired member of the U.S. Coast Guard, and their three children. She enjoys Hampton Roads’ proximity to the water, changing seasons, and diverse community. When she isn’t in the office, she can be found cheering on her children at sporting events, horseback riding, exercising, spending time with friends and family, and engaging in river activities.
