Accepting New Patients

Megan Foster, FNP-C is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with TPMG Heart & Vascular Center in Newport News. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Longwood University before continuing her education at Paul D. Camp Community College in Franklin, Virginia, where she earned her Associate Degree in Nursing. Furthering her education, Megan received her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University. Megan is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and joined TPMG Heart & Vascular Center in 2026.

After several years working as a registered nurse, Megan transitioned to her role as nurse practitioner, gaining valuable clinical experience in various settings, including intensive care. Drawn to cardiology by its blend of complex cases and meaningful, long-term patient care, Megan appreciates the opportunity to apply her strong clinical reasoning while developing lasting, supportive relationships with her patients.

As a provider, Megan delivers safe, evidence-based care while fostering trust with her patients. She prioritizes patient feedback, ensuring patients feel heard, informed, and comfortable asking questions and making decisions regarding their cardiac health. Her goal is for every patient to leave feeling understood and supported. While managing heart conditions can be overwhelming for many individuals, Megan works to increase patient confidence in her ability and their own health.

Megan sees patients across their lifespan for a variety of reasons relating to cardiovascular health, including coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathies, heart failure, valvular heart disease, arrhythmias, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia, among others. Shaped by her background in critical care, she has a particular medical interest in heart failure management, arrhythmia, and post-hospitalization cardiac care. Megan is passionate about helping patients regain stability after acute events and supporting their long-term recovery.

When she isn’t caring for patients, Megan can be found spending time with her husband, two daughters, and their pets. As a Hampton Roads native, she enjoys living and working in the area where she has found a home and community.

Megan warmly welcomes patients to make an appointment to see her at TPMG Heart & Vascular Center.
