Lane Bell, DNP, FNP-C is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a family nurse practitioner. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana. Furthering her education, Lane earned her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Lane joined TPMG Coastal Endocrinology in Virginia Beach in 2023, and soon after expanded to Newport News and Suffolk. 

With nearly 20 years of experience in the medical field, Lane is no stranger to healthcare. In 2014, she began practicing as a family nurse practitioner. Through her career, she has gained experience in family practice, orthopedics, and sports medicine. Lane is passionate about making a positive impact on people’s lives and enjoys the opportunity to build open and honest relationships with her patients. As a provider, she strives to establish a good rapport with her patients, ensuring each of her patients feels heard and involved in the healthcare process.

Encouraging open communication with her patients, Lane encourages them to ask any questions and raise any concerns they may have about their health. She believes knowledge is power and seeks to educate each patient so they can better understand their condition, as well as the treatment options available. By engaging her patients, she can help them make informed decisions about their care.

Lane treats patients of all ages for a variety of conditions related to the endocrine system, including diabetes, thyroid disorders, hormone disorders (male and female), obesity, and more. She has a particular medical interest in the prevention and treatment of diabetes.

When she isn’t in the office, Lane enjoys outdoor activities, hiking, going to the beach, and traveling with her husband and their three dogs. Before moving to the area, Lane and her husband lived in Japan and Louisiana.

We do not accept walk-ins or same day appointments.

Missed Appointment/Cancellation Policy

When an appointment is missed, our first concern is the patient’s safety, well-being and that nothing unfortunate has occurred. However, failure to show up and same day cancellations prevent other patients from being seen. As a result of same day cancellations and no shows, TPMG Coastal Endocrinology will assess the following fees for same day cancellations and no show appointments:

Follow up appointments: $25             

Fees are assessed per occurrence and must be paid at least 48 hours prior to the patient’s next scheduled appointment or that appointment will be cancelled.

After Hours Care

We have an on-call line where patients can reach the provider on call for pressing matters.

Billing

Copayments are due at the time of service.

Prescriptions
