Kathryn “Katie” Fowler, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with TPMG Williamsburg Family Medicine. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., and went on to receive her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University. A member of multiple professional organizations, Katie belongs to the American Nurses Association (ANA) and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Originally from the Philadelphia area, Katie joined TPMG Williamsburg Family Medicine in 2025. With nearly 15 years of experience in the medical field, Katie is no stranger to the needs of her patients. She began her career as a nurse in an inpatient cardiovascular department for three years before accepting an opportunity to work as a labor and delivery nurse for another four years. Afterward, she served as a medical-surgical nurse at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center for another two years before joining TPMG. Drawn to the field of medicine by a desire to help others and provide medical knowledge for her community, Katie finds purpose in serving others. As a nurse practitioner, she partners with patients to guide them towards their health goals and manage disease. Using her experience as a nurse, Katie takes a nurturing, friendly approach to patient care, making time to learn more about her patients and their values to help improve their overall well-being. Katie sees patients 6 years and older for various acute and chronic conditions, including hypertension, high cholesterol, diabetes, osteoarthritis, acute infections, and more. She has a particular interest in women’s primary care, providing PCOS management, ADHD management, perimenopause and postmenopausal symptoms, and mental health care. Katie is also trained as a PALS-certified pediatric nurse and in the Sympto-Thermal Method of natural family planning, a technique that identifies the fertile window for contraception using basal body temperature and other observations. When she isn’t in the office, Katie enjoys spending time with her dog and chickens, trying new restaurants, visiting local farmers’ markets, crocheting, baking, and gardening with her children. Katie invites patients to schedule an appointment to see her at TPMG Williamsburg Family Medicine.
