She received her undergraduate degree from LaSalle University in Philadelphia where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She received her Doctor of Medicine from Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and completed her internship and residency at the Williamsport Hospital Family Medicine Program in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Dr. Gianvittorio joined TPMG Holland Road Family Medicine in 2008. With a passion for understanding life sciences and disease processes, Dr. Gianvittorio was drawn to the medical field. Over her past 25 years in practice, she truly enjoys the opportunity to help others on their health journey. She develops strong relationships with her patients and families, educating them so that they can make informed medical decisions. Dr. Gianvittorio takes a no-nonsense approach to medicine, focusing on wellness and incorporating traditional medicine with alternative and natural remedies. She treats patients of all ages for a variety of chronic and acute primary care conditions. Her special interests include wellbeing, adolescent and adult wellness, mental health, and healthy aging. She also focuses on women’s health, metabolic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol, mental and emotional health, and complete infant, pediatric and adolescent care. Dr. Gianvittorio is a member of multiple professional organizations including the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and the Virginia Academy of Family Physicians (VAFP). Originally from the Philadelphia area, Dr. Gianvittorio has been a resident of Hampton Roads for over 20 years. Outside of the office, she has grown an interest in hobby farming, sustainable gardening, and other outdoor activities. She is married to a retired US Navy Corpsman and has four children, two dogs, four chickens, and the occasional black snake and wayward field mouse. She also enjoys weight and resistance training, hiking, biking, and anything involving the beach.
