She continued her education at ODU, earning Master of Science degrees in Nursing Administration/Leadership and Family Nurse Practitioner. Before pursuing a family nurse practitioner career, Jennifer gained nearly a decade of experience as a registered nurse in local area hospitals providing care in various specialty fields including cardiology, surgery, women’s health, and geriatric medicine. In her clinical practice, Jennifer provides holistic, patient-centered care focused on prevention and education to create individualized care plans. She believes the best outcomes are achieved by empowering her patients to become active participants in their treatments. Jennifer’s special medical interests include primary care for adults and adolescents, chronic disease management, women’s health, and encouraging a healthy lifestyle to help prevent disease and promote good health. In addition to her clinical duties, Jennifer has also served as a nurse preceptor providing instruction to nursing graduates and as a department manager in the hospital setting. Jennifer is a member of the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners. A Mathews County native, Jennifer currently resides in Gloucester with her husband and three children.
