Gale received her undergraduate degree from Hampton University and her Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Howard University. With extensive experience in nutrition counseling, Gale works with her patients to develop strategies to improve their eating habits and lifestyles, in turn helping them to manage their weight and medical conditions. She credits witnessing her patients’ symptoms and overall health improvement as a result of the lifestyle changes as one of the most gratifying and rewarding aspects of her career. Gale also takes an individualized approach to helping patients reach their goals and works alongside her patients to design meal plans to treat and manage a variety of conditions. In her practice, she has found nutrition plans based on personal preferences, lifestyle, and health conditions to be the most successful; and she continues to work with her patients at follow-up visits to make any necessary dietary changes to ensure the most effective plans are developed and maintained. A gifted educator, Gale enjoys teaching diabetes management classes at TPMG and sharing her knowledge of nutrition and diabetes prevention with the community to help empower people to reach their individual goals. Having spent her childhood on a farm, Gale understands the importance of diet and proper nutrition. She is passionate about the role food can have in a healthy lifestyle and enjoys tending to her home vegetable and herb garden; harvesting fresh, natural ingredients for home-cooked meals. In her leisure time, she enjoys reading, volunteering at her church and on annual mission trips, and is an active member of her sorority. At TPMG Nutrition Services in Newport News and Williamsburg, Gale provides one-on-one consultations, nutrition and weight management counseling, and diabetes education.
