Monday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Amanda J. Trevino, FNP-C is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with TPMG West Point Family Medicine in West Point, Virginia. After 20 years of working as a registered nurse, Amanda received her Family Nurse Practitioner Master of Science in Nursing from Loyola University New Orleans in Louisiana. Amanda joined TPMG West Point Family Medicine in 2023. Beginning her work in the medical field as a neonatal ICU and nursery nurse, Amanda later transitioned into adult medical-surgical nursing care. While working primarily in the hospital setting, she also has experience as a home health registered nurse case manager. From 2010 to 2013, Amanda worked in a rural family medicine clinic in Alaska, where she served as a registered nurse clinical supervisor, providing care to patients young and old. Most recently, she served as a travel nurse on a medical, post-surgical, trauma, and telemetry unit. As a provider, Amanda provides holistic, evidence-based, and patient-centered care. She prioritizes engaging patients in their health care in order to achieve healthier outcomes. She sees patients aged 2 years to adulthood for a variety of acute and chronic conditions including diabetes, thyroid disease, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, arthritis, depression, anxiety, ear infections, dermatitis, upper respiratory tract infections, and more. She has a particular medical interest in family medicine, preventative medicine, and pediatric special needs. Outside of the office, Amanda enjoys traveling, reading, live music, theater performances, and family game nights. She enjoys living in Hampton Roads for its rich history, proximity to the water, and family-friendly community. Amanda is a Texas native but currently resides in Hampton Roads with her husband, Rob, an active duty US Coast Guard officer, and two young sons, Juan and Mateo.
