Physician Assistant in Virginia Beach, VA

Alyssa K. Naldoza, PA-C is a certified physician assistant with TPMG Cardiovascular Specialists. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Old Dominion University in Norfolk. Furthering her education, she earned her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Arcadia University in Glenside, Pennsylvania. Alyssa joined TPMG Cardiovascular Specialists in 2023.

Alyssa cites her mother’s work as an ICU nurse for many years as her introduction to the medical field at a young age. Her mother’s confidence and knowledge regarding healthcare matters for the family influenced Alyssa’s decision to pursue a career in medicine.

Prioritizing patient education and autonomy, Alyssa aims to keep her patients well-informed and highly involved in their care. She seeks to give patients the tools they need to successfully regain and maintain their health outside of the office. Her goal is to provide patients with holistic, high-quality care to improve their quality of life. Through comprehensive patient education, she can guide patients through the best treatment plan. Employing empathy and compassion, Alyssa hopes her patients feel seen and heard. Although medicine can be a hectic, busy career she understands that each patient has their own unique problems, needs, and feelings and spends the time necessary to provide tailored care.

Alyssa treats adults 18 years of age and older for a variety of acute and chronic conditions relating to cardiology. Common conditions include cardiovascular disease, hypertension, dyslipidemia, heart failure, dysrhythmias, and structural heart problems. She has a particular medical interest in lifestyle modifications and risk factor management in the treatment and prevention of cardiovascular disease. Alyssa is also very passionate about mental health, especially in minority populations.

A native of Hampton Roads, she grew up in Virginia Beach and Norfolk. Outside of the office, Alyssa is very passionate about her Filipino heritage and was extremely involved in the Filipino American Student Association during her undergraduate education at Old Dominion University. While her work is often analytical and technique-driven, Alyssa also enjoys expressing her creative side through drawing, knitting, painting, sewing, and more. She’s done a variety of dancing growing up, particularly loving traditional Filipino dance.

Alyssa warmly welcomes patients to make an appointment to see her at TPMG Cardiovascular Specialists.
