Aimee Byman MPA, PA-C is a board-certified physician assistant with TPMG Coastal Allergy in Chesapeake. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Old Dominion University in Norfolk. Furthering her education, she went on to complete her Master of Physician Assistant from Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2003. Aimee joined TPMG Coastal Allergy in 2024.

With over two decades of experience working in the medical field, Aimee understands the importance of delivering compassionate care to her patients. Throughout her career, she has worked in various clinical settings including emergency medicine, family medicine, pediatric and adult dermatology, and allergy/immunology. This diverse experience has equipped her with exceptional skills to handle an array of medical challenges. Aimee’s interest in science and mysteries in her youth sparked her passion for unraveling problems and finding solutions, leading her to pursue a healthcare career. After a close family member was diagnosed with diabetes at a young age, Aimee witnessed the impact of quality healthcare firsthand, reinforcing her belief in the significance of providing excellent medical care to those in need.

Aimee strives to get to know her patients, building rapport to ensure their optimal health. She helps them make informed decisions about their health through comprehensive patient education. Attentive to each patient’s individual needs, she communicates health information in ways that patients can understand, ensuring they feel confident and comfortable with their choices.

She treats patients of all ages, from children to adults, for a variety of conditions including allergies, eczema, and urticaria, among others. She has a particular medical interest in preventative care and helping patients achieve an overall healthy lifestyle.

Coming from a background in dermatology, Aimee is also a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. She highly values education and served as a preceptor to physician assistant students from Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS). Aimee has also contributed to the development of EVMS physician assistant students by serving as a mock interviewer for the Admissions Committee. Furthermore, she holds certifications as an Educational Therapist from the National Institute of Learning Development and the Feuerstein Institute as a Feuerstein Cognitive Practitioner. She has worked as a private tutor for students with learning challenges and special needs while homeschooling her children.

When she isn’t in the office, Aimee spends time with her husband, three children, and friends. She enjoys beekeeping, experiencing nature, traveling, reading, and discovering new foods and cultures. Growing up in a military family, Aimee traveled to many places as a child before returning to the Hampton Roads community to complete her education.
