Patrick Henry Family Medicine opened in the Fall of 2004 as an offshoot of TPMG Denbigh Family Medicine; which has been serving patients in Newport News and the surrounding areas since 1956.

Patients are cared for by appointment. If you require same-day medical attention, please call early in the day to schedule an appointment.

Blood pressure checks, protime checks and routine immunizations are available Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to noon and from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. These services do not require an appointment.

For patient convenience, TPMG Patrick Henry Family Medicine offers in-office blood and urine testing during appointments and at scheduled times. We may also refer you to an outside lab, if required by your insurance carrier.

If hospitalization is required, our physicians will coordinate your care with a carefully selected and experienced hospital-based physician.

If you have an urgent medical need after office hours or on the weekend that requires the attention of a physician, please call our office for recorded instructions. After office hours, TPMG Patrick Henry Family Medicine physicians share on-call services with TPMG Denbigh Family Medicine and TPMG Colonial Family Medicine.

Please request prescription refills during your appointment, or ask your pharmacist to fax us your refill request. Be sure to have your prescription bottle available when you call, so that you can provide the information necessary to complete your request. Please allow 48 hours for us to process your request after we receive it from your pharmacy.

Please request referrals during your appointment, or you may call our office. Please allow 2-3 business days for us to process your request with your insurance carrier.

Although we have group contracts with all of the insurance carriers listed, please contact your physician’s office to find out if your physician accepts your insurance. Not all physicians actively participate in all TPMG list of carrier plans, therefore, it is important to verify that your physician participates in order to avoid additional out-of-pocket expenses.
