Our mission is to improve overall health by providing exceptional dermatologic care to every patient. As the largest organ in the human body, diseases and conditions of the skin can have a significant impact on a person’s general health, making the identification and treatment of these conditions important. Located at the heart of Newport News since 2017, our office provides an inviting environment where advanced facilities, dedicated professionals, and the latest treatments and techniques come together to deliver high-quality medical care for a wide variety of skin conditions. Our team is led by board-certified dermatologist Valerie Harvey, MD, MPH, FAAD. Dr. Harvey brings to TPMG a breadth and depth of dermatologic expertise and experience combined with a respectful, caring manner. Dr. Harvey not only treats more common skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, and skin aging using the latest tools and therapeutics, but also specializes in less common conditions such as skin cancers, alopecia areata, pigmentation disorders, and other disorders specific to ethnic skin. TPMG Hampton Roads Center for Dermatology has an additional office location in Virginia Beach! For those interested in making an appointment with our sister office, please contact the Newport News location. Referrals are no longer needed unless your insurance requires one. TPMG Hampton Roads Center for Dermatology offers skin care products to complement the services provided during your visit. Our Virginia Beach location now offers The Pigmentation Clinic, a specialized service for pigmentary disorders.Contact the office today for more information. Appointments For same-day appointments or availabilities, please contact the office at (757) 232-8856. Our office does not offer “walk-in” appointments. Please contact our office 48 hours in advance to reschedule or cancel appointments; otherwise, there is a $75 no-show fee. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. All pre-registration forms are available electronically in the appointment confirmation email. After Hours Care An on-call physician is available seven days a week to handle after-hours urgent matters. Prescriptions Please contact the office for prescription requests. Established patients not seen in our practice for over a year must schedule a follow-up appointment before a new refill prescription is ordered. For medications that require laboratory monitoring, a physician will determine the patient’s need to schedule a follow-up appointment. Please allow 48 hours for prescription refill requests. Billing Please contact our office manager for all billing inquiries. For questions regarding your health insurance, please contact your insurance carrier. TPMG Hampton Roads Center for Dermatology is no longer in network with New Tricare Prime. Please contact our office to verify your insurance is accepted.
