Located at the heart of Newport News since 2017, our office provides an inviting environment where advanced facilities, dedicated professionals, and latest treatments and techniques come together to deliver high-quality medical care for a wide variety of skin conditions. Our team is led by board certified dermatologist Valerie Harvey, MD, MPH, FAAD. Dr. Harvey brings to TPMG a breadth and depth of dermatologic expertise and experience combined with a respectful, caring manner. Dr. Harvey not only treats more common skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, and skin aging using the latest tools and therapeutics, but specializes in less common conditions such as skin cancers, alopecia areata, pigmentation disorders, and other disorders specific to ethnic skin. Physician assistants Madison Scott, PA-Cand Leanne Avery, PA-C support Dr. Harvey as part of the team at TPMG Hampton Roads Center for Dermatology, TPMG’s only dermatology practice. Appointments For same day appointments or availabilities, please contact the office at (757) 232-8856. Our office does not offer “walk-in” appointments. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. All pre-registration forms are available electronically in the appointment confirmation email. After Hours Care An on-call physician is available seven days a week to handle after-hour urgent matters. Prescriptions Please contact the office for prescription requests. Established patients who have not been seen in our practice for over a year will be required to schedule a follow-up appointment before a new refill prescription is ordered. For medications that require laboratory monitoring, a physician will determine the patient’s need to schedule a follow up appointment. Billing Please contact our office manager Tamara Savage for all billing inquiries. For questions regarding your health insurance, please contact your insurance carrier.
