Like its predecessors, the da Vinci 5 (DV5) Robotic Surgical System is a highly advanced, innovative technology that increases patient and staff efficiency in the operating room while improving surgical outcomes.

“The da Vinci robotic system has revolutionized patient care. The da Vinci 5 (DV5) robotic surgical system will further improve patient care by reducing trauma, decreased blood loss, and less pain for patients,” said Jeffrey D. Morrison, DO, FACOG of TPMG Obstetrics and Gynecology.

The DV5’s Force Feedback technology allows surgeons to better feel the force they’re applying to tissue, giving them an extra “sense” while operating, which helps avoid unnecessary trauma. In pre-clinical trial reports, surgeons used up to 43 percent less force during surgery, leading to gentler procedures, better recovery, and improved outcomes.

With an adjustable control system and intuitive HUB technology, the DV5 provides surgeons with tools and software to improve operation efficiency and connect patients with more information about their condition and procedure. With post-operative case insights, surgeons can also review information and provide patients with photos and videos of the procedure.
