Newport News
Newport News is currently the sixth-largest city in the state. Historically, it has faced war, development, and even notoriety. Newport News served as a war ground for the Civil War and a port of embarkation for World War I and World War II. Following the Civil War, Newport News began a shipbuilding legacy that is still prominent today. Also notable, Newport News has birthed many stars, including Ella Fitzgerald, John “Johnny” Gilbert III, and Joyce Bulifant.
In Tidewater Physicians Multispecialty Group (TPMG) history, we recognize Newport News as one of our first primary care locations.
