High Potassium in Chronic Kidney Disease Trial

Are you currently living with chronic kidney disease or CKD? Do you have hyperkalemia (high potassium)?

If so, you may be eligible to participate in a clinical research study.

The TPMG Clinical Research Division in Newport News is conducting an exciting clinical trial to evaluate if an investigational treatment can help slow the chronic kidney disease progression. This is a 28-month long trial for people who are currently diagnosed with CKD and have had or at risk for hyperkalemia that limits their ability to take a fully protective dose of ACE/ARB medication.

You may qualify for this study if you:

  • You are 18 years of age or older
  • Have Chronic Kidney Disease
  • Are diagnosed or at risk for Hyperkalemia (high potassium)

Participants will be compensated for their time and travel.

There may be reasons why you cannot participate in the study. The study doctor or clinical research coordinator will discuss this with you. To learn more about this clinical or to see if you may qualify, call (757) 232-8836 or visit https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT05056727.
