Virginia E. Knight, PA-C received her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2000. She obtained her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Shenandoah University in 2006. She has enjoyed over ten years of practice in family and internal medicine, urgent care and orthopedic surgery.
Virginia has a special interest in orthopedic injuries, dermatology and psychiatry and is trained to perform a wide variety of minor procedures in office. She is nationally certified by the NCCPA and is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Virginia joined TPMG Discovery Park Family Medicine in October 2017, and as a Williamsburg native, brings her love for her hometown community to the office each day. She is excited to provide excellent health care to new and existing patients.
Luciana D. Bester, MD was born and raised in the Hampton Roads area and is excited to be practicing medicine in her hometown of Virginia Beach. She received her Bachelor of Science at Old Dominion University and her Doctor of Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School. She completed her Family Medicine Residency training at VCU/Riverside Family Medicine in Newport News, Virginia.
Dr. Bester is a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physician and the American Medical Association. Her clinical interests include pediatrics (including infant and adolescent care), women’s health, preventive medicine, management of chronic diseases, and family-centered care.
Outside of work, Dr. Bester enjoys spending time with her husband and dog, going to outdoor festivals, taking photographs, seeing Broadway shows, and baking. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends and travelling to tropical locations, historical sites, and Disney World.

Robert Dunne, DC, FNP, PA-C joins Williamsburg Internal Medicine practicing as a Physician Assistant, and is certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants. Mr. Dunne is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (DFAAPA), and a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Naval Academy of Physician Assistants. He brings to his patients a wealth of knowledge and experience attained throughout a lifetime commitment and unselfish dedication to helping others.
Mr. Dunne began his career in the U.S. Army as a Licensed Practical Nurse. He earned a Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate and Physician Assistant Certificate from University of California Davis School of Medicine, and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic-West.
The uniqueness of Mr. Dunne’s life experience also includes work as a Police Detective, Cardiopulmonary Therapist, Registered Nurse, radio talk show host and Chiropractor in his own private practice. His military service includes practicing as a Physician Assistant in both the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy until his honorable retirement as Lieutenant Commander. He earned a multitude of military medals and ribbons during his military career. Mr. Dunne most recently worked as a Primary Care Manager with the U.S. Army Medical Department at Fort Eustis, Virginia.
Mr. Dunne believes in sharing his knowledge and experience through teaching, and served as a Preceptor for Physician Assistant students, a professional speaker for a well-known pharmaceutical company, and instructor/faculty member at several colleges. His positive outlook on life is infectious, and everyone he meets is touched by his magnetic personality.
